We are on 5.4.2.228 - Core running on a Windows 2008 64bit Server.
I logged into the server that runs the Core Service this morning to find that the Core Console would not come up.
I checked the services and the Core Service had stopped, many days ago...
The only explanation in the windows application event viewer was about a .NET framework un-handled exception that occurred one second before the core service stopped.
I opened a support ticket, but was also hoping someone in the community might be able to give advice on what we should do to make sure we get notified when something like this happens. We are not big enough to have a full time server admin who knows all the tricks of the trade to monitor services that fail and create alerts.
I guess it's a bit much to expect AppAssure to have some sort of alert go out when the licensing servers stop getting check-ins from the Core.
